The final season of the streaming giant's otherworldly blockbuster the hit series is set to be a major events of 2024. The first part premieres on the 27th of November, however a clip of the chilling initial moments has been released online.
The segment, named the opening chapter, takes fans to the origins of the series in the early '80s, in the wake of the vanishing of Will Byers.
"What should I doâstay or go?" the character hums in an effort to stay collected in the Upside Down.
Things quickly become horrifying as a demogorgon emerges and drags Will to the stronghold of Vecna. "After all this time, we can begin," he informs the captive while shooting a vine down his throat. "We together, we are going to do incredibly wondrous things together."
Part two of the final series is scheduled to premiere on December 26, and the last chapter available on January 1 â which will also be presented in certain movie theaters.
The description states: "The fall of 1987. The town is damaged by the emergence of dimensional tears, and the protagonists come together by one objective: locate and eliminate the enemy. Yet he has disappeared â his whereabouts and intentions unclear. Adding to their mission, the government has enforced the community under strict lockdown and intensified the pursuit for the character, forcing her back into hiding. When the commemoration of the event looms, comes an intense, familiar dread. The last showdown is on the horizon â and alongside it, a darkness mightier and more dangerous than anything they have battled before. To stop this terror, they'll need everyone â the full party â united, one last time."
The surprise clip was shared to YouTube after the show's LA debut recently, featuring cast members such as Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.
"The scope of this installment is bigger ⊠It's more action and more special effects, yet it's also without a doubt the most emotional part because it's the end of the narrative for each of these personas," the production's co-creator, noted regarding the final episodes.
The co-producer and collaborator, remarked: "Bringing it out to the public is anxiety-inducing, yet we're ready to finally show it."
